LakePoint Augusta is delighted to announce that we have been rated five out of five stars by Medicare.gov.

The "Choices" campaign was carefully chosen to convey the options that LakePoint Augusta residents have in their daily life and the technological choices we have made in ensuring accurate and accountable care for our residents.

Family-centered care places each resident into a smaller group or family. Each family is located in a hall or neighborhood. By incorporating families, the resident receives a higher quality of care due to a greater staff-to-resident ratio.

The resident also has more home-life style choices including when to go to bed and when to get up. The resident also has greater dietary choices. Our “Always Available” menu and daily specials can be ordered from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. in The Water’s Edge restaurant. Snacks and drinks are available as well as special items for all dietary needs.

Our choice to invest and be pioneers in innovative technology has shown our commitment in providing the best care possible. We complement our staff using electronic health records (EHR), wireless nurse call assistance and computerized wander prevention. EHR increases accuracy and accountability while reducing storage needs and the consumption of paper goods. The wireless nursecall system gives residents fast response times when assistance is needed. And our computerized wander prevention system is specialized for the safety and accountability of elopement-prone and dementia residents.
